This video was shot at my 30th High school reunion on July 25, 2015. There is a very close 40 plus year friendship with all the people in this video. We have a friend who is terminal with cancer. She chooses not to hear her prognosis, but it’s well known that she has miraculously held on to life against all odds. She was diagnosed 6 years ago with breast cancer, had a single mastectomy and 5 years later it has returned and is in her liver, lungs and bone. We take every opportunity we can to have fun with her. We are a silly group, but we laugh and we dance and we have fun when we’re together. Maureen believes the power of love and laughter is keeping her alive. This balloon pop was in fun and is one of the best laughter medicine we have ever given her. Unfortunately, Maureen was weak and unable to participate in that race, but she laughed at us…and that was our goal. We are thrilled that people are laughing at as. We laugh at ourselves all the time.

This is an incredible close up view of an adult male hummingbird displaying his iridescent head and gorget feathers. But how is this possible?
The gorget is a shimmering patch of feathers found on the throats of males in many hummingbird species. The mesmerizing shifting of colors doesn’t arise from pigments in the feather, but rather from their microscopic structure.
Not pigments in the feather, but a microscopic structure is causing this effect
The bird’s throat feathers contain minutely thin, film-like layers of so-called ‘platelets’, that are set like tiles in a mosaic against a darker background. The light waves reflect and refract off the mosaic, which is in extend creating the color in the manner of sun glinting off oily film on water. Pretty amazing, right?!
It's always fun to see a video of science experiments you can actually try out yourself, and that you don't need to be professional for to try.
Some of these are great if you want to wow your kids, and have them think you're a genius. Yet some of these will wow your adult friends as well.

Uprooted trees lying here and there might not interest anyone. But with a stroke of artistry, these can be transformed into fabulous works of art. Since it requires a lot of hard work to make them well turned out, the acceptable masterworks are vocal enough to express their agony, relief or derision for what they have been morphed into. Just scroll through the wonderful sculptures after the break and try to infer the seemingly melancholic message.

If yoga is about controlling the mind and body, there is no greater test than practicing with a dog or cat on the loose.
As Danielle Cuccio, a yoga instructor and owner of two pugs tells us, "They think it’s playtime or that it’s some kind of game. They think, 'Mommy is on our level ... Lets get her!' They actually challenge me to stay balanced in a pose so I think it makes me stronger."
Watch our compilation above and see why every yogi should own a pet for the ultimate yoga challenge.
